The RMS Foundation is run by a small, but mighty, team of three founding board members: Alyssa Schaller, Chelsey Gebel, and Bryan Henne. Alyssa knew a greater meaning had to fill the gaping hole left behind by Ryan’s passing. Therefore, in Spring of 2021, she established the foundation and approached Chelsey and Bryan to join her on this new endeavor, and both accepted the invitation without reservation. As a team, the board takes immense responsibility and pride in carrying on Ryan’s legacy. The goal of the RMS Foundation is to be an Esophageal Cancer Foundation that is supportive to patients and families impacted by diagnosis.
Alyssa Schaller, Ryan’s loving wife of over seven years, is an Assistant District Attorney in Waukesha County. Her background in law and passion for developing relationships is an instrumental asset in growing the foundation’s network of support. Alyssa is determined to keep moving forward, and affectionately honor her husband by continuing his fight.
Chelsey Gebel, Ryan’s sister-in-law, is a stay at home mom and holds a degree in accounting. Her strong attention to detail and background in finance provides the foundation with necessary fiscal responsibility. Chelsey is motivated by the foundation’s ability to make a sustainable impact, and committed to ensuring no one fights alone.
Bryan Henne, Ryan’s close friend, is the Vice President of Construction at KPH Construction in Milwaukee. His background in overseeing and analyzing construction projects translates seamlessly coordinating the operations of the foundation. Bryan is driven by the foundation’s mission, and dedicated to helping those in need focus on their fight.
